2018 Cove School Summer Program
Summer school at The Cove School is a unique experience for students with learning disabilities. Students at Cove feel safe and supported. Students get what they need to learn. Students are accepted as they are. The Cove Summer Program will be in session June 15 - July 27, 2018.
Summer school at Cove meets a variety of student needs. Some students need to maintain skills previously learned in a variety of subjects. Others need remediation in a particular subject. High school students may need additional credits. Still others may attend because of a requirement by their school district. Whatever the reason, The Cove School meets the needs of the individual student by tailoring a schedule for each child. All classes have a maximum of ten students.
Students may attend for one, two, or all three morning classes. Attending classes in the afternoon only is also an option. Full day attendance combines the academics of the morning with integrated activities in the afternoon. High school students must take a final exam and complete all assignments in order to receive credit for a class.
New students to Cove need to complete the application form and return it with a down payment. In addition, the most recent evaluation of the child and a copy of their most recent IEP, if applicable, should be sent or dropped off at the Cove school office. This will allow staff to review the child’s information to make sure that we can adequately meet their needs.
