Hello, Neighbors!
We hope this letter finds you and your families well and enjoying the warmer weather! Thank you for your ongoing support of Cove School - we appreciate you all as our most direct community members and friends of the school.
We wanted to quickly update this group on some of Cove’s upcoming events as we near the end of our school year. We are excited to host Covid-19-friendly versions of our annual events, but recognize the inconveniences imposed upon homes in close proximity to our campus. We appreciate your understanding and hope that this advance notice can prevent unnecessary surprises. Please see below a list of dates, times, and anticipated areas of impact on the neighborhood.
Friday, May 21, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Grandparents’ and Special Friends Day (Drive-Through)
Anticipated impact on Williamsburg:
Staff parking will be limited as we host this drive-through event, please anticipate a higher number of Cove’s staff utilizing the neighborhood for street parking.
Increased traffic in/out of the school between 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Guest arrival is being staggered to mitigate congestion.
Friday, May 21, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Cove’s High School Prom (Outdoors - Front Parking Lot)
Anticipated impact on Williamsburg:
Increased traffic during drop-off (6:00-6:30 p.m.) and pick-up (8:00-8:30 p.m.).
Noise from live band and D.J. starting at 6:00 p.m. and ending promptly at 8:00 p.m.
Lights in our front parking lot to make the “Starry Night” theme come to life.
We are arranging to have speakers facing away from the neighborhood.
Thursday, June 3, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Elementary Graduation (Outdoors - Back Parking Lot)
Anticipated impact on Williamsburg:
Staff parking will be limited as we host this outdoor event in our back parking lot; please anticipate a higher number of Cove’s staff and guests utilizing the neighborhood for street parking.
Increased traffic around these hours with parents/families coming in/out of our campus
Thursday, June 3, 5:00-6:00 and 6:45-7:45 p.m.
High School and Junior High Graduation (Outdoors - Back Parking Lot)
Anticipated impact on Williamsburg:
Parking will be limited as we host this outdoor event in our back parking lot; please anticipate a higher number of Cove’s guests utilizing the neighborhood for street parking.
Increased traffic around these hours, especially with the transition between the two events, with parents/families coming in/out of our campus
Noise from the stage (speakers faced away from the neighborhood to reduce volume as much as possible).
