On a very hot day in August, Cove welcomed 21 employee volunteers from USI Insurance Services to help with our garden clean up in front of the school, in the parking lot beds, the playground area, and our sensory garden. Cove was chosen to be one of the recipients of their annual USI Gives Back program. USI associates give their time, talent and treasure across the country through USI Gives Back — where each of the Company’s more than 140 offices participate in local community service during the year.
USI Insurance Services stands for Understand, Service and Innovate. USI works to Understand the specific needs of their clients, and to provide an unparalleled local Service experience, and to Innovate with cutting edge solutions so their clients can continue to invest and grow. USI has supported Cove for several years through our annual benefit. Having a partnership with a local business like USI helps further strengthen our roots in the community, and the work that we do. Stephanie Sanderman, Cove’s Director of Development says “Our school building is our students’ and families’ home away from home. It’s more than just their school, it’s a place where they come to connect as a community. Our annual picnic is coming up soon, and we can’t think of a better way to show off the grounds then at this event. We are so grateful for this partnership with USI, and for the incredible work that they did to make our school look fantastic for the start of the school year.”
USI employee Andrea Custode had this to say about her team’s experience: “USI and all of the volunteers had a wonderful time at the Cove School on Thurs. Aug. 11th. We were happy to give back a little to a school that provides so much for its students, their families and the community. USI recognizes the hard work, effort and resources that it takes to keep a business or organization running smoothly and efficiently. We pride ourselves in taking care of our clients, giving them only the very best and The Cove School does exactly the same. The grounds got a little help from our volunteers and with some finishing touches will look amazing in time for the school year to start!”
