What's Happening at Cove

The Young Professionals for Cove will be having a Happy Hour meeting at Revolution Brewery in Chicago on April 25th. They will begin planning for Cove's upcoming 5K run in June.
On March 14, Cove hosted it's annual Career Day with over twenty careers categories represented.  The day concluded with guest speaker Jerry Markbreit, NFL referee.
The Cove School Elementary classes performed this year's annual play entitled "We Haz Jazz" in both day and evening performances for students and parents.
Construction has begun on Cove's new track and field behind the building. Stay tuned for developments. Stop by and check out the progress! The final layer of the track will go down in the Spring.
Cove High School students participated in Spirit Week culminating in a color war where freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors competed against one another. Pictured here is the Homecoming Court prior to the games. The day concluded with a formal dance in the school gym.
Cove's High School Speakers Program welcomed Eileen Gold Kushner, who came to share her inspiring story. The book about Eileen's journey called "Smart on the Inside" was written by special education teacher Kathy Young, who also spoke at the program. Although Eileen struggled through childhood with undiagnosed learning disabilities, today she is a successful business woman and owner of several area McDonald's restaurants.

As part of COVE KIDS CARE, two students carry boxes of warm winter clothing, collected by Cove students and families. The boxes were delivered to Evanston School Children's Clothing Association.

Ms. Kempen's and Ms. Akrap's dance recital gave dancers a chance to show parents and teachers what they have learned, plus an opportunity to show them some dance moves!

This year's Family Fun Night included carnival games, face painting, a magician, pizza, ice cream and of course Bingo! Over 200 attended this great community event.

A Cove Social Worker facilitates a group using Lego.

Parent Association meeting and presentation by Dr. Michael Maniacci, clinical psychiatrist, who spoke on the topic "The Ten Most Important Mistakes Parents Make".
